Employment Law Content in Final Edit

Finally another blog update! This week has really started out very busy for all, especially for our legal and human resource contributors. Over the course of the last two weeks our teams have pulled together a lot of legal and HR content which is currently being compiled and reviewed. Tomorrow we’re wrapping up the working sessions with our contributors and pending any last minuet revisions, the Employment Law section will begin to see significant updates and additions in the content (editing legal jargon can be a challenge).

Site Down for Unavoidable Maintenance Issue

It was discovered as part of the recovery and reload of data from the previous network drive crash several key pages of an older .html format were reloaded in place of the newer .php format. This error caused several pages to be orphaned which were overlooked. As a result we took the site down between 12:11pm EST and 12.24pm EST today to rebuild and resolve these issues. Our apologies if you reached our maintenance page during this time.

Currently the site is performing very well as our traffic continues to increase. We’ve made it a priority to keep both the on-site and off-site links current. 404 error is a very bad word around the office… As of Saturday March 10 our site stats are:

Child Labor Law and College Listings

As we’re transitioning to focus on more the employment law content, we are still extremely pleased by our staff’s efforts in continuing the college listing effort. The office buzz is “lets get it done now before the next network crash”. You just got to love their optimistic outlook. :o) But I can’t argue with their efforts. So where do we stand at the end of yet another great week.

Employment Law contributors are finalizing several sections in relation to the Federal Labor Law standards to include Child Labor Law.

University Listing Updates Continue

College and university updates have been completed for the following states.

This marks about the halfway point of our listings and updates in this section. Work has also continued in the Employment Law sections, with revisions to the Job Description pages.

Nothing but a work day...

Content development continues, combined with the slew of telephone calls. Today was interwoven with classic Dilbert moments, thankfully all from outside office sales types, etc. So really, how many office water deliveries and onsite coffee venders can one area have? We must have met them all today. Fortunately our legal and human resource contributors continued to make headway on the Employment Law section, and uploaded a Job Description page (the first draft from what I’m told), but here’s the link. :o)

Legal and Human Resource Contributors Revise Employment Law Topic List

Today we concluded a successful meeting with our legal and human resource contributors which resulted in a more comprehensive employment law topic list which we now have uploaded. Throughout the next few weeks our contributors and office staff are working diligently to provide the most appropriate and helpful employment law information within this section.
